Guinea Pigs Take Baths
Guinea pigs take baths about once a month usually. Here are some tips about bathing guinea pigs:
- Make sure the water is warm but not too hot
- Using a mixer tap as in the video below may risk the wrong temperature
- Bath your guinea pigs in an inch of water
- Pour water over the guinea pig’s back with a small container
- Avoid getting water (or shampoo!) in the eyes or ears
- Bathing guinea pig’s head should be left to last – use a moist cloth
- After bathing guinea pigs should be dried immediately and kept warm
